Use an old wire hanger instead of using your pipe cleaner wrapped in a microfiber towel. Old wire hanger hold brake calipers too. Old wire hanger...friend.

Edit to my last comment: for anyone else who has a pet peeve about drying soap onto places, just have an extra spray bottle with pure water and spray away the "soapy wooder" before drying.
